Singles Snapshot: 1995 Fleer Ultra Gold Medallion #112 Brett Favre

The Gold Medallion set from 1995 Ultra is one of my favorite parallel sets of the 90’s.  It was not at all subtle, as many parallels tend to be.  No piddly foil stamp, no different color border and no fancy refractive finish you might miss if the light didn’t catch it right.  This parallel took the base card and replaced the entire front, except for the actual player, with gleaming, gaudy, gold foil, and the result is spectacular!

On top of all that gold, the card is embossed with the Ultra Gold Medallion logo.  (I really miss embossed cards, by the way!)  The embossing also shows through prominently on the back.

Lastly, here’s an angled shot to really show off how this card shines!
